There are all types of book gadgets to help with holding the pages and magnifying the type. Believe me, technology can be on the side of the old fussbudget, too. I don't see ebooks as the enemy, you are correct there. But I think that they lack the beauty and the history of a printed volume. You ever pick up an old, well treated, or even maltreated book and wondered who else read it or why?

You and Nick might change your minds when your eyesight goes and your arthritic hands can't stand the weight of a large print book. . . They're a niche product for readers, as far as I'm concerned. Definitely not the enemy.

Love your Noisy Nora reference! Glad you're back on line.
